Well… there are plenty of ways that people can get involved, joining in with the fun and excitement of Disabled Access Day.
We'd love it if you could come along to one of the many Disabled Access Day events if there is one near you. If there isn't something taking place handy to you then we'd love it if you could go exploring and try somewhere new and then tell folk about it by sharing a picture or two on social media or writing a review over on Euan's Guide.
We don't run the events as it is up to local groups, places and supporters to decide if they want to put on an event or acitvity. This means there may not be something organised near you; but maybe you and some friends might want to organsie something too.
In the run up to March 2019 we are asking places, organisations, and groups to plan an event for the day. Where possible we want those events to be something they don't usually do or one where there is a little extra help and time for people to be involved and take part. We are keen that these events include Changing Places facilities or are located within a reasonable distance of a Changing Places toilet. That way, everyone gets the opportunity to take part!
Once we have the list of events and acitvities finalised we will publish them here on the Disabled Access Day website so that you can see what is happening near you.
That way, before the day, you can search and see what’s happening in your area.
We would love it if you told as many people you can! You can do this by spreading the word to people you meet and or groups that you belong to.
Throughout and before Disabled Access Day, plan your visits and follow what is happening on Twitter by searching for our hashtag #AccessDay. Don’t forgot to share your photographs and stories with us and have a fantastic time!
Fill out the form below to let us know you are interested in taking part and we will send you our newsletter with news of what's happening as we get nearer to Disabled Access Day on the 16th March 2019.
