Dogs of #AccessDay!
It’s not a tough task to find a dog lover in the UK, but for some disabled people, our canine companions are much more than pets; they’re our partners in crime! Assistance dogs are a huge part of the Disabled Access Day family, and we want to celebrate their amazing work, and, of course, the cuteness overload they bring, over our #AccessDay weekend in March.
One real symbol of Disabled Access Day is our arrows, used to signpost visitors to inclusive events, and to create a social media storm of accessibility prior to the big weekend itself. Every venue taking part gets an arrow as a memento of everything #AccessDay, and we would love to see a few paws and wagging tails around our arrows this year!
Send photos of your doggies and the Disabled Access Day arrow to us @Access_Day, and let’s collectively show what a huge impact these amazing creatures have in making a more inclusive society a reality. Don’t forget to look out for special Euan’s Guide dog bowls at events all over the UK and beyond, either. If you’d like to make sure any dog visiting your venue can quench their thirst too, you can buy a bowl here.
To assistance dogs everywhere, we salute you. Have a great #AccessDay. Woof woof!
