Meet the Disabled Access Day 2017 Team!
With less than 150 days to go until next year’s Disabled Access Day, it’s time to introduce the sparkly new Disabled Access Day team to you all. With these guys, March 2017 is sure to be bigger, better and more inclusive than ever!
Of course, Disabled Access Day is still headed up by founder, explorer and techie, Paul Ralph, who wants to see access and inclusion initiatives truly on the radars of venues, businesses and organisations all over the UK…and beyond! Joining Paul and making it happen this year are:
Disabled Access Day Co-ordinator: Ryan McMullan.
The true Disabled Access Day admin and communications guru, Ryan will be the person who always knows who is taking part and what is going on. He knows plenty about event management, art and design tools and possible funding avenues as a Director of Inclusion Scotland, and we’re so excited to invite him onto the team!
Disabled Access Day Partnerships Manager: Lisa Edwards.
As the person responsible for the full operational delivery of Para Tri, the UK’s first mass participation sport event dedicated to disabled people, Lisa knows exactly what she’s talking about when it comes to building rapport and partnerships. She even secured broadcast coverage with ITV! Lisa will be based in London, concentrating on building relationships with Corporate Partners & larger charities.
Disabled Access Day Marketing: Emily Yates.
A Yorkshire girl now living in Glasgow, Emily will be writing content for the Disabled Access Day website and for partner publications, as well as getting involved with social media and the press side of things. With experiences of the media as a presenter for BBC3, Emily will also attend and plan events and organise workshops to promote Disabled Access Day and venue engagement.
Disabled Access Day Volunteer: Scott Lockhart.
Scott is our Project Scotland Volunteer and has been with us for a while now, keeping the Disabled Access Day clock ticking nicely! He will be with us until mid November, and will continue working on blog writing, Google Adwords and social media.
So there you have it, your 2017 Disabled Access Day team! We hope you’re just as excited as we are for what promises to be our most exciting year yet!
Sending Disabled Access Day love,
The Disabled Access Day 2017 Team.
