Shortlisted for Cracking Campaign in SCVO Charity Awards!
We are delighted to announce that Disabled Access Day has been shortlisted in the Cracking Campaign category in this year’s Charity Awards run by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).
The awards celebrate Scottish charities, community groups and supporters across Scotland who aim to make Scotland and its communities a better place. There are a range of categories including Digital Dynamo which our friends at Euan’s Guide have been shortlisted for.
It’s been a really exciting year for the Disabled Access Day campaign, with over ten times the number of people taking part compared to the pilot event and over four times the number of venues. We published our report last week that looked at some of this year’s highlights and feedback from both individuals and venues that took part, you can download the report for further information.
We are really excited to have been shortlisted for this award, not only is it recognition of all the hard work that people across Scotland and the UK put into making the day a success, it’s also a great way to raise the profile ahead of next year’s event which will take place from 10th – 12th March 2017.
The winner of the awards will be announced on 9th June at an award ceremony in Edinburgh and we are keeping everything crossed for then!
We need your help!
Our friends at Euan’s Guide are also up for the People’s Choice Award and need your help!
